  Lovo Feast    
  Lovo is the Fijian term for an earth oven or cooking pit. Used for special occasions, a pit in the ground is used to trap heat and bake, smoke, or steam food. Fire heated rocks are placed in the pit and covered with green vegetation, quantities of food, more green vegetation and then a final covering of earth. Banana leaves are used to wrap meat, fish and vegetables and food is cooked for hours using this special traditional technique.   Lovo feast
